Resources

This page is dedicated to providing useful links, information, and resources to those that need them. Many of these sites and links are
useful tools and valuable information sources that I didn't come across until years into my pursuit of the mountains so enjoy having
            them all in one place!

The links provided range from trip report websites that I've used often throughout the past years and contain useful information when
planning your own trips, to forest service road condition reports, in depth weather forecasts, terrain condition reports, and sites like
Gaia GPS and Strava which are invaluable for obtaining gpx files before you set out on a trip.

What do you use for your photos?

Although I used to use a GoPro HERO7 often, in 2022 I got a Samsung Galaxy S21 and it's pretty much retired the GoPro aside from hands
on terrain and skiing. GoPro has better stabilization for video but I'm not a huge fan of the fish eye effect GoPro's are known for.

What do you use to record your GPS track on these trips?

I'm currently using the Garmin Enduro 2 and when it's set to max battery mode it's able to last for even my longest multiday trips!

For whatever reason there's a sizable difference between trip stats on Strava and Gaia GPS. This could also be the fault of my Garmin
Enduro 2 watch recording higher distance and elevation gain values than are actually being done but whatever the cause, take the stats
for each of my trips with a grain of salt, they're likely somewhere between the 2!
